First, we clean up the tree by removing any and all sprouts that are not best served for growing fruit. We simply call these ‘clean up cuts’, and this part of Fruit Tree Pruning is not taken lightly. Second, we  dip into the book of Tree Thinning, and make sure that each Fruit Tree is properly thinned out so that each branch can breathe. We carefully remove any dead branches that should no longer be a part of the tree and cannot grow fruit. Lastly, we make sure that any and all branches are growing upward. Any downward branches are given a flush cut and promptly removed.
